Desítku finalistů a finalistek jediné české soutěže umění pohyblivého obrazu
představili kurátoři jejího letošního ročníku, Lumír Nykl a Tina Poliačiková,
v pondělí 2. listopadu v rámci akce PAF Praha. Veřejnosti bude desítka videí
poprvé představena během nadcházejícího festivalu PAF Olomouc 2020, který
se koná od 3. do 6 prosince 2020.
PAF Olomouc in cooperation with the online film magazine Kinečko and the film festival 4 živly organize the competition of Slovakian moving image Other Visions SK for the fifth time. Pieces of work can be submitted to the Other Visions SK 2021 competition until midnight on the 15th of October, 2020.
The upcoming PAF Olomouc 2020 festival, which takes place from 6 to 9 December, reveals the curatorial duo of the 14th year of the Other Visions CZ 2020 competition of moving images. This year’s ten finalists will be selected by the curator and critic of contemporary art Tina Poliačková and the curator and DJ Lumír Nykl.

On Thursday, April 23, the sixth year of the XY 2020 walk of vernissages will take place under PAF’s patronage. This year will present artists associated with Opava. During one day, a series of vernissages, concerts, performances and screenings will take place in independent galleries of Olomouc.
Laura Amann, the competition curator, announced ten finalists of Other Visions CZ 2019 on Tuesday, 5th November, during the discussion PAF Prague: Moving Image. Curatorial Principles.
On Monday, 2nd November, at 6 p.m., the PAF curatorial platform will introduce the second series of discussions that have long been related to the curatorial principles of working with moving images in various environments of their application. The aim of the selected discussions is to describe the current situation in the Czech Republic on the example of curatorial projects, trying to articulate the specifics associated with this area. The event will take place in the form of an online webinar.

PAF, the Festival of Film Animation and Contemporary Art, this year invited artists to submit their audiovisual artworks for the 14th edition of the competition of Czech moving images Other Visions. The opportunity to submit audio visual works will end at October 4, 2020 (midnight).
SUBMISSION DEADLINE IS OCTOBER 4, 2020 (MIDNIGHT).
The City Gallery of Pardubice will host a screening of the Other Visions CZ 2019 on Tuesday 30th June from 8pm.
The Other Visions competition aims to map events in the field of moving images and video creation in the Czech Republic. Each year’s selection is unique due to different interest of the curators who nominate ten works. The curator, architect and writer Laura Amann curated the selection of ten works of the Other Visions CZ competition at last year's PAF Olomouc 2019.
